We are now taking bookings for resort lodging if you are looking to stay close to
Voyageurs National Park. We are open in all four seasons.

The Ash River and Voyageurs National Park region is a true four-season destination with no shortage of things to do. Water is at the heart of the experience. Explore hundreds of miles of shoreline and islands, cruise to Kettle Falls Dam or Crane Lake for lunch, visit the Ellsworth Rock Gardens, travel upriver to view towering rock cliffs on your way to Ash River Falls, or simply enjoy a relaxing sunset cruise.
Our weather is extreme in the best way possible. Summers bring warm days and cool nights, perfect for outdoor adventure. It might rain, so please remember your rain gear. Fall offers crisp temperatures, plenty of sunshine, and breathtaking fall colors. Winters are cold, which is exactly what makes this area so ideal for snow-based recreation.
Winter on the river is something special. The Voyageurs area is known for receiving some of the highest snowfall totals in the Upper Midwest, and the Ash River is no exception. In most years, this region gets more snow than anywhere else in the area, making it a true snowmobiler’s paradise.
