The area that encompasses AshKaNam Resort – The Ash River, Lake Kabetogama, Lake Namakan, Crane Lake, and Rainy Lake – is considered one of the most beautiful boating areas in the country. On top of that, the area is legendary for its fishing opportunities.
Voyageurs National Park is adjacent to AshKaNam Resort and offers many family activities. The park lies in the southern part of the Canadian Shield, representing some of the oldest exposed rock formations in the world, and is water bound on its East boarder, allowing many fun water experiences. The park is located just a few miles from our resort.
Fishing is the most popular activity for our summer guests. The five major lakes adjacent to AshKaNam resort are some of the best fishing lakes in America. Fish for Walleye, Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass, and Crappie. The legendary is complimented by the knowledge of the AshKaNam staff.
